Microsoft is now testing the Chromium powered Edge browser. The browser (as of writing this) is in the Development stage and is available for testing.

I have been using the developer edition of the Edge browser for a few months now, and the browser has been working fine without any major issues. The browser is comparatively faster than Chrome and uses fewer resources as well.

Because it is based on Chromium, Microsoft Edge now supports all the extension that is available for Google Chrome from the Chrome store. As of now Microsoft is adding more features and testing the browser for public release.

The only downside as of now is that there seems to be no way to turn off the news feed option on the home page. Hopefully, Microsoft adds an easy way to turn off the News Feeds in the public release.
