Office 365 may soon let you download ATP security reports

Office 365 ATP security reporting comes in handy when you need to assess the effectiveness of the security tool in protecting your computing assets and enterprise data against all manner of cyber threats.

It provides different types of security analytics and gives you a detailed view of detected and neutralized threats for a specific duration of time.

And now, according to an Office 365 Roadmap entry that Windows Report spotted recently, Microsoft is working on enabling the export of ATP security insights.

Ability to export Office 365 ATP reports rolling out soon

To view any ATP security report, you usually go to the Security & Compliance Center. But, in the foreseeable future, you may be able do more than just view insights on the reports dashboard.

Specifically, the platform may soon let you export and download many of the available Office 365 ATP reports. These include the Threat Protection Status report, which indicates the effectiveness of Office 365 ATP in sniffing out malware and phish.

In addition, the ability to export mail flow status reports is also in the works. The same applies to insights into spoof detections, URL protection, and the most notorious malware affecting your Office 365 system.

According to the Roadmap entry, these updates should be rolling out this month. However, Microsoft hasn’t confirmed that, at the moment, you can start downloading these security reports.

We’re adding the ability to export many of our security reports, including, but not limited to: Threat protection status report, mail flow status report, top malware, spoof detections, top senders and recipients, Office 365 ATP file types, URL protection report, and more.

In the meantime, Microsoft is also working on improving  security for its cloud-based productivity software suite in other areas, such as email and URL.
