Eve Echoes is blasting onto mobile on August 13

July 27, 2020: Eve Echoes beta now has a release date of August 13

Good news, space fans! The developer of Eve Echoes, NetEase games, has announced that it is coming to mobile on August 16. The news came over the weekend, when pre-orders for Eve Echoes went live on both Google Play and the App Store. This new info comes two weeks after the conclusion of Eve Echoes final closed beta test.

For those of you that don’t know, Eve Echoes is an adaptation of the hugely popular – and notoriously complex – sci-fi MMORPG Eve Online. But Echoes is more of a reinvention than a port, set in a new universe, with simplified mechanics, and its own isolated economy system. It’s classic Eve, but streamlined for a new audience and platform.

We here at Pocket Tactics have had our eyes on Eve Echoes for a while, and though a livestream revealed an August release date a little ways back, we didn’t know the specifics. We’re happy to finally have a date set in stone.

After consecutive beta tests, and livestreams, we know lots about how Eve Echoes is going to look, which we’ve distilled into a handy Eve Echoes guide. The most significant changes are the addition of a new faction, Yan-Jung, as well as personal space stations, and a whole host of new and old ships coming to the game.

The stream also covers some other subjects, such as a brief look at the game’s monetisation, which is split into two Omega Clone passes of varying price. Advanced tutorials are also coming to the game, to help you deal with the MMORPG’s steep learning curve. All in all, it’s pretty exciting!
